By: IWFL

Austin, Texas – The IWFL is pleased to announce it has awarded a new team membership to the Tulsa Threat. The Threat will begin play as an expansion full member team in 2016 with a full schedule of exciting games.

“I am very excited to work with this team. They have established themselves well in the Tulsa community and have a reputation for playing solid competitive football. I expect we will see some exciting games from this team!” said Kezia Disney, IWFL Chief Operating Officer.

The Tulsa Threat brings a veteran roster and coaching staff to the league. Having taken home division title honors in their previous league, the Threat is expected to be a strong addition to the IWFL central region.

“We are looking forward to the upcoming season in the IWFL and are ready for the challenge to go up against some great talent,” stated Mindy Goodman, Tulsa Threat General Manager.

The Tulsa Threat will offer women an opportunity to learn to play full tackle football, train in a professional and respectful environment and compete at the national level. The team will play regionally in Oklahoma and Texas during the regular season with a schedule featuring match ups with some of the best teams in the sport as well as other new expansion IWFL teams.
